Although as I pointed out last time I discussed this matter, it may be years before a part based project every reaches the 10k point. It is my opinion that the first one is the case here. The staff at Cuusoo that writes the 1k Official notices has not been alerted to the chance in part policy.Cuusoo is continuing to support the concept of making new molds for project dedicated to new molds. As it was not archived, for being based singularly on new parts, it is safe to assume that one of two things has occured: The Wild Encounters project has passed the 1k milestone and is the second most popular "parts only" project. The guidelines still indicate that new part projects are acceptable but now there is some official statements from Cuusoo following the policy change. Since this posting there has been some discussion as to whether or not this includes projects that dedicated singularly to the creation of new parts, as opposed to sets that require a new part. "While we cannot create new specific LEGO elements within the operational framework of LEGO CUUSOO, we will consider this concept in earnest in the Spring 2013 LEGO Review period." The second Zelda's Official response at 10k stated: News Latest Official Notice hopefully sheds light on new part policy.
